I specialize in helping students to improve their writing. By breaking down the writing task into manageable parts, I help the student to be able to bring forth his or her best quality work. This process empowers the student and gives form to the well-reasoned concepts that are already present in his or her thoughts and notes.I have taught social science courses at the university level, and I am a cultural anthropologist and a book author. I have had the rewarding experience of teaching students whose first language isn't English. In my career, I've helped university students and academics to polish their papers, essays, and theses. I have helped them to make their writing clear and direct so that their strongest ideas are brought into sharp focus. I've advised students on how to revise papers which had not been accepted for publication, and the resulting papers were published in the most highly respected journals in their field.I attended the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Chicago. Currently, I am living in New York City. I enjoy tutoring many subjects, including English, Social Sciences, Anthropology, Writing, Essay Editing, and Spanish.
