Tutoring Experience: -Algebra I -Algebra II -Spanish I-AP -U.S. History -I also was the founder of the Tutoring Club at my high school that provided students with peer tutors in a variety of subjects. Scores: SAT: 2050 ACT: 32 Why you want to be a tutor: I believe that the one-on-one interactions between a tutor and a student can be extraordinarily helpful. In my experience as a tutor, I have found that the student often feels more comfortable asking questions with the tutor than with a teacher in the classroom in front of his or her peers. Additionally, the student and tutor can learn the material at the student's pace so that they feel very comfortable with the subject. Ultimately, tutoring is extremely helpful for students who need extra help that the classroom cannot provide and I would love to provide this extra help.
