Math is a favorite subject of mine because I love tackling a challenging puzzle! Along with math, I love writing and art history. I also have a huge passion for theater. I blended my love of theater with my academic interests in my collegiate studies. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Boston College, and I received my MFA from The Boston Conservatory. My master's degree program was a dual teaching and performance curriculum, which offered me a pedagogical viewpoint and gifted me the chance to be a teacher's assistant. I tutor various math disciplines, including algebra I and II, SAT math, and geometry. In my spare time, I enjoy singing, reading, kayaking, walking dogs, drawing, and watching too much Netflix. I understand what it is like to struggle in school, and I also understand the power of discovering appreciation for the subjects we dread the most. As much as possible, I let students come to their own conclusions in my tutoring sessions, and I hope they leave feeling more reliant on their own instincts and abilities. I hope to help students believe more in their learning capacity, and to feel more confident working on their own in the future.
