I am a firm believer that education is one of the key ingredients in an individual's life. When people are having challenging issues with a subject, it isn't because they aren't able to learn. It just means that they need to have the information given to them in a way that they understand. In the school room, it is challenging for the educator to be able to communicate the subject matter in ways that every individual in the class will be able to understand. The solution to this problem is having the individual get extra individualized help from a tutor. This is the reason I decided to become a tutor. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering. The core subjects for this degree are various courses in science and math. In my past, I helped tutor individuals at the college and high school levels in writing and math. The extra benefit of tutoring for me is being able to get to really know the students and their life outside of tutoring. I really enjoy this! I feel extremely fulfilled tutoring individuals to help them understand complex concepts, and this is something I want to pursue. In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, and playing the cello. I currently reside in New York, New York.
