I earned my bachelor's degree from Oberlin College with a major in English Literature and a minor in Politics. In college I also acted as the editor of one of the school newspapers and spent a lot of my time overseeing the writing center. Since college, I have spent time working in Oberlin's communications office, writing for alternative newspapers in both Cleveland and Portland, and working for a new app company. One of the things that I loved to do while in college was work with other students to improve their articles and essays. It excites me to be able to be in that sort of position once again. I am most comfortable tutoring the various parts of the English language but am also confident in my abilities to work across all kinds of fields. I can also assist students as they prepare for standardized exams such as the SAT and ACT. In my free time I enjoy cooking, jogging, reading, and watching movies. Most of my focus outside of the classroom is on my band. I am a guitar player and even went on tour for a little bit following college.
