I have had four years of experience in being a camp counselor for girls under the age of 15. I have helped my younger sister learn algebra and French, and I am always regarded as a resource for help when my friends are completing assignments and studying. I have taken numerous courses in Irish and German history and French culture and language. I studied French in high school and continue to study French now in college - I studied in Paris for six weeks in the summer of 2013. I studied in Berlin for 8 months in 2014.

Aside from constantly searching for ways to practice my French and German, outside of my academics I am heavily involved in social justice and environmental groups on NYU's campus. When I am not organizing events or engaging in conversation about climate justice issues, I like to find time to read and make jewelry. One of my favorite things to do is travel - I approach traveling as a mode of educating myself about other people, cultures and history. I love sharing my experiences with others and getting tips from fellow travelers. My favorite city in Europe (that I have visited thus far) is Berlin, with Bergen, Norway following as a close second. The most educational experience I had was in Lithuania, where I had the most issues not understanding the language but was still able to get myself where I needed to go.
