Experience
I received a mathematics bachelor's degree from UCLA. I then received my master's in math from Ohio State University. I spent a year working as an assistant teacher at a college level and community college level in New York City. I then went on to obtain my teaching certification. This was in addition to the Teachers College Master of Arts in Mathematics that I am working on completing now.I started tutoring at UCLA as part of a college tutors program. I helped high school students prepare for the SAT. I then went on to work as an Ohio State teacher's assistant. This is where I assisted undergrads in becoming familiar with calculus. There always seemed to be college students that needed tutoring help outside of the traditional classroom, which is where I came in.I have taught many levels of mathematics. This includes mathematical subjects such as pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus.Since mathematics is not generally the favorite among all students, I work to teach problem-solving techniques. This helps students understand the work and hopefully admire the subject instead of fear it.During my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, following various sports, and card and board games.
