Experience

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fordham University in New York City, where I also minored in political science, Spanish, and history. I currently work on a study about sleep and academic performance in adolescents as project director. I have worked as a teacher in a classroom and have been tutoring for years, both as a volunteer and as a paid tutor. I am passionate about education and hope to earn my Ph.D. in the fields of psychology and public policy so that I can go on to work on education reform. When I have free time I enjoy spending time outside, running, and reading.I love learning, and I bring that enthusiasm to my tutoring sessions. My favorite subjects to tutor are history, literature, Spanish, and English, particularly writing. I love every part of the writing process from organizing and writing to revising and editing. I find tutoring for standardized testing to be rewarding both for me and the student because large improvements can be made in such a short period of time. I am available for tutoring in many subject areas including psychology, study skills and organization, grammar and mechanics, and social sciences.
