Amy P.

Private tutor in New York, NY

Education

University of Michigan-Ann Arbor - BA, Anthropology, Spanish

Experience

I have vast experience tutoring high school students in Spanish, Biology, and SAT Preparation. I graduated from the University of Michigan with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biological Anthropology and Spanish. Following my undergraduate years, I attended Columbia University for a year where I studied a variety of subjects related to math and science. Now, I am going for my master's degree in Genetic Counseling. As you can see, my knowledge is not limited.  I lived in Spain for nine months, so my Spanish skills are fine-tuned. I'd like to share the various learning techniques that helped me master the language with students.  Preparing for the SAT, or any other such test, can seem like a daunting task. But, rest assured, I can create in you a renewed approach that will ensure success every single time. Outside of my role as a tutor, I'm a pretty well-rounded individual who enjoys many things. I can be found anywhere from a ballet to a Knicks game on a given weekend. I also like to take part in skiing the slopes and finding solitude in Central Park during long afternoon strolls.
