My desire to tutor young people was developed when I received help to achieve my educational goals from caring tutors. My tutors took the time to identify my challenges, and guide me through the labyrinth of struggles until I reached my goals. I take this same approach with my students by helping them to identify their individual challenges, and collaboratively create a plan that will help them overcome learning barriers and achieve success.My tutoring specialty focuses on English and Literature, as well as study skills for standardized test subjects Math and Reading. I'm also proficient in tutoring Writing, Essay Editing, Grammar, Public Speaking, and Science.My writing enjoyment started when I was young, but was further fulfilled while I pursued a Bachelor of Arts in English at Yale University, where I focused on Creative Writing. During my time at Yale, my writing was recognized through prestigious honors and awards. Aside from tutoring, I work as the event planner managing alumni events for the Yale Club of New York City. In my free time, I enjoy reading some of my favorite literature, trying out my singing voice, and working on my photography and design skills.
