Education

Duke University - B.A., Philosophy

Experience

I received my B.A. in Philosophy from Duke University and had a minor in Political Science. At the current moment, I am working hard towards graduating from Columbia Law School with a J.D. Over the years, I have worked as a classroom teacher and as a one-on-one tutor. Many students will seek out my help in order to prepare for the SAT, ACT, and LSAT exams.I am a patient tutor who tries to be as encouraging as possible to my students. I help my students learn that there is nothing to fear in making a mistake, as it is nothing more than a chance to learn more. This helps them spot more opportunities to learn, as well as to become more confident as a student. To help them do that, I show them how they can break down some of the most complex ideas and transform them into clear and understandable language. Knowing that they will be able to fully understand the material and put what they have learned into practice is truly gratifying. In my personal life, I enjoy reading the works of Junot Diaz and George R. R. Martin. I also love to spend time with my friends and play some board games.
