Experience
During my undergraduate work at Cornell University, I majored in Child Development. I am now in the PhD program at St. Johns University, where my degree will be in School Psychology. The bulk of my experience has been with preschool students who have autism, but I also have been successful working with adolescent youngsters who exhibit a variety of behavioral challenges. My work at Cornell is giving me the background to teach students in all levels and ages. In the recent past, I worked with college-aged students as a tutor in a variety of subjects, which included English, Statistics, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Social Sciences, and Psychology. I also have been a valuable resource for students preparing for the GRE, the ACT and other forms of standardized testing. I have found that my passion for helping students transcends all ages and all learning abilities. When I am not working, I spend a lot of time with my family and friends. Some of my outside interests include playing tennis, dancing, and figuring out crossword puzzles. Life, I think, is a crossword puzzle of sorts, and I really like to help other people find the clues and make sense out of it.
