I am New York based Spanish teacher, translator, proofreader (both En and Sp) and interpreter. I moved to NYC from Spain in 2001 as a journalism graduate, and language has been a main work tool and passion since I can remember. EXPERIENCE: • Language Services Provider 2008 - Present Experienced translator, interpreter, voice over monitor, proofreader and editor, who has successfully provided Sp-En language services to leader companies in the field, such as Rennert, Trasnperfect or CKP media. •Independent Spanish Tutor, 2011 - Present Track record aiding middle, high school and college students in preparing for tests and improve grades. I have never had a student, who was previously failing, pass a test with less than 85 after working with me. Currently active in Wyzant and Thumbtack. •Fluent City Language School, NYC 2012 - 2014 Spanish teacher to children and adults, small and large groups (www.fluentcity.com). Taught hundreds of students Levels 1 to 5 to adults, an intermediate level to a group of five children, ages 5 to 8. Prepares age appropriate classes within school curriculum guidelines and finds creative, fun and engaging ways of interacting with the language throughout the learning process. I am interested in life and anything that is life affirming. I believe every single person, and specially children, should get recognition and validation for each thing that they try out, do and accomplish. We all win by contributing to a world of empowered and self-confident individuals. I personally thrive making music, drawing, farming at the community urban farm I'm a member of, spending time in nature, in silence, and also in the company of creative and self-reflective people.
