Education
I am currently enrolled in the PhD program in English Literature at New York University. I hold a Henry MacCracken Fellowship. Experience
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." -- Benjamin Franklin. My tutoring sessions are centered around sparking the students interest in the subject and providing solid frameworks for learning. With over eight years of tutoring experience, I have helped many students engage with courses in English, Philosophy and History in order to achieve high grades and an excellent standard of work. I have a broad range of literary, philosophical and political interests. My current research focuses on the relationship between literature and politics in the age of William Shakespeare and John Milton. I also work on the Contemporary Australian Aboriginal novel. My first book " Critical Companion to Kim Scott" will be published by UWA Publishing in March 2015. My experience includes private tutoring high school and college students, working as a teaching assistant at The University of California and lecturing a freshman course at The University of Melbourne. I am interested in working with students on their individual interests, areas in need of development and study skills more broadly.
