Private tutor in New York, NY

Education

BA and MS in Economics and Finance from Syracuse University, completing Ph.D. at the Graduate Center of New York

Experience

I have been tutoring Economics, Finance, Statistics, Accounting and several other quantitative disciplines for over 10 years and am familiar with syllabi from almost all New York universities, as well as a couple of Ivy League schools. I've worked with students on both undergraduate and graduate levels, helping them grasp material and complete assignments throughout the semester and providing a crash course for exams. My track record speaks for itself: I've taken failing students through to a successful course completion and helped bump up grades by as much as 2 letters in some cases. In my opinion, an implicit contract should exist between a tutor and a student. A student makes every effort to come prepared and take tutoring sessions seriously. I, on the other hand, fully invest myself into getting each student to his or her personal best, with both the knowledge base and grades. I also stay active in the academia by writing and presenting research at domestic and international conferences. My hours are very flexible, and I can meet almost anywhere in the city or boroughs.
