Education

I earned my undergraduate degree at Swartmore College where I double majored in educational psychology and pre-med. I completed a masters degree at The University of Pennsylvania in Reading, Writing, and Literacy Education.

Experience

I am a professional educator with experience teaching and tutoring math, reading, writing, science, social studies, and technology in grades K-8. I currently teach fifth grade reading, writing, and social studies at Inwood Academy for Leadership Charter School in New York City. Before this, I was a fourth grade homeroom teacher at The Town School in Manhattan, a elite, private preK-8 school. I have also taught elementary and middle level math, science, and technology at Gulf Stream School in Gulf Stream, FL. I specialize in making learning fun for students in K-8. I have proven success at bringing non-readers into the world of reading and writing.
