Experience

Hello everyone, My name is Jing and I have started my tutoring business since 2013 after having graduated from Columbia University with a Master's degree in Applied Physics. I am knowledgeable about various levels of physics and mathematics classes such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, algebra 2, pre-calculus, calculus 1&2, multivariable calculus (calc 3), differential equations (calc 4), partial differential equations, complex variable, linear algebra and statistics of various levels. For physics, I can help with both calc-based or non-calc-based introductory physics classes as well as modern physics, classical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, modern optics, solid state physics, thermal physics, and quantum chemistry. In addition to science and math, I'm a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese so I can tutor people who wish to learn the language. Finally, I'm really looking forward to meeting more and more people from different schools and areas!

Hobbies

Reading has been my hobby for years. My favorite genres include Classical Chinese literature and Science Fiction. My current tutoring with a student majoring in drama has given me an excellent experience to help non-science major students understand vague concepts in maths and sciences.
