Private tutor in New York, NY

Education

Masters of Journalism at CUNY Graduate School of Journalism (2011) Studies in French, Sorbonne Paris III (2007-2008) Bachelor of Arts, University of Illinois at Chicago (2006)

Experience

I am an environmental reporter based in New York. My articles have appeared in New Scientist, Scientific American, Psychology Today, Popular Science, OnEarth Magazine and Smart Planet. My audio work has appeared in Scientific American and Distillations, a podcast out of the Chemical Heritage Foundation. I was also a copy editor with a large publishing house for two years where I used my spelling and grammar skills to fact check and proof read manuscripts. I love to travel and learn about people and the world and spent two years living in Paris, France where I was an English tutor to French children and adults. I like to help people learn about English by exploring their interests. For example, if you are a fan of economics we can read The Economist and discuss world politics. If you prefer to talk about animals we can create an entire English lesson plan around that. I can also help with creative writing and essay writing.
