Experience
Hi...a little about me and my teaching background...I recently completed my Masters at Columbia in Creative Writing, and have been a taught writing in various capacities for the past five years. I have tutored adults and students through programs connected with Columbia, and recently won the Danahy Prize in Fiction for the Tampa Review. For the past four years, I have served as the primary teaching assistant for undergraduate English courses taught by Mary Gordon, many with up to 75 students. I have worked with students individually to provide creative guidance, advise them on subject matter and answer questions. In addition, I have tutored writing for cancer survivors at an organization called Gilda's Club. I worked with a team of creative writing instructors to develop curriculum and teach writing to groups of students, and prepared weekly lesson plans and writing exercises to promote story development and creative use of language. I can provide a full C.V., if you like, and look forward to hearing from you.
