Hobbies

I have work experience primarily in journalism and communications. For the past two summers, I worked for the Record Journal, the primary newspaper for central Connecticut. Before that, I interned for a web design company and held a clerical position at a doctors office from when I was 14 to 17. I am also involved in community service, with both Kiwanis International and UNICEF. During high school, I became an executive board member of the New England district of Key Club International and editor-in-chief of the New England Key Club Magazine. Currently, I am programming chair of Columbia's Kiwanis branch and a volunteer for UNICEF. In addition to Political Science and Sustainable Development, I take high level classes in math, science, literature, economics, and Spanish. I aspire to join the Foreign Service. Note to potential students: I will strive to help you understand the material you need to know in order to be successful in a class. I am happy to assist you in a way that caters to your individual learning style, whether it means explaining a concept to you in an alternative way or walking you through the steps of solving a particular problem. However, as a tutor, I am not responsible for doing your homework or take-home exams for you, as I am strongly opposed to academic dishonesty. I can clarify concepts for you, but your academic success is contingent upon your effort.
